Step 1: Find the search icon on the top right side of your desktop menu bar. The search icon is normally on the desktop menu bar of your desktop.

Step 2: Search for Image Capture and open it.
Step 3: Unlock your iPhone to connect.
Step 4: Images and videos will be displayed on your Mac. Select the photos you want to copy. You can choose the destination folder at the same time.
Step 5: Click import

But I have found the best and simple way to download facebook video while using laptop or desktop. Just normally go to the facebook page and click the URL.

The page URL looks like https://www.facebook.com/********

So now you can click and delete www and write m. It will change the page to the mobile version. 

The page URL now looks like https://m.facebook.com/********

After this, small download button icon will appear on the right side of the video you are playing. Click the download button icon and you will be able to download the video on mp4 file extension. The file will remain in your download folder.
